About the Author
Brian Starr has taught Economics and Finance courses at Lubbock Christian University since 2004. In addition, he served as the University’s Executive Vice President from 2008-2020. During that time, he enjoyed working with all areas of the university and helping invest the University’s growing endowment portfolio. He holds the Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin, the Master of Arts in Religion from Abilene Christian University, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Texas Tech University. Brian had the pleasure of serving clients ranging from sole proprietorships to Fortune 500 companies and leading a team of 50 professionals who helped 35,00 workers invest $700 million for their retirement years.
Brian serves as an elder at the Monterey Church of Christ in Lubbock, He has been married to Kristi since 1992 and they have three wonderful children, Joshua, Caleb, and Rachel.
